چکیده
Abstract The paper studies the initial boundary value problem related to dynamic evolution of an elastic beam interacting with a substrate through elastic-breakable forcing term. This discontinuous interaction is aimed model phenomenon attachment-detachment occurring in adhesion phenomena. We prove existence solutions energy space and exhibit various counterexamples uniqueness. Furthermore we characterize some relevant features solutions, ruling main effects nonlinearity due term on dynamical evolution, by proving linearization property according Gérard (J Funct Anal 141(1):60–98, 1996) asymptotic result pertaining long time behavior.

Shear-Flexural Interaction in Analysis of Reduced Web Section Beams using VM Link Element
Reduced web section beams in shear-yielding moment-resistant steel frames are used for energy dissipating of earthquakes. The finite element analysis indicates that failure mode of these beams are governed by the combination of shear force and flexural moment. Therefore the analysis of frames with reduced web section beams needs consideration of shear-flexural interaction in those sections. In ...
متن کاملFlexural Behaviour of RCC Beams
Concrete is the material which is rapidly used in various conditions to sustain the compression loads and the corresponding bending and shear stress due to the applied compressive loads. The major drawback in concrete is that it is poor in tension though it is very efficient in compression. Hence to overcome this major drawback the concrete must be reinforced such that to make a homogeneous sub...
متن کاملNonlinear Longitudinal Waves in High Energy Stored Beams
We solve the Vlasov equation for the longitudinal distribution function and nd stationary wave patterns when the distribution in the energy error is Maxwellian. In the long wavelength limit a stability criterion for linear waves has been obtained and a Korteweg-de VriesBurgers equation for the relevant hydrodynamic quantities has been derived. Paper presented at Workshop on Instabilities of Hig...
متن کاملFlexural Behavior of Reinforced HPFRCC Beams
High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composite (HPFRCC) materials exhibit strain hardening behavior with multiple cracking under tensile loading. In this paper, experimental and parametric studies are performed to assess the influence of using HPFRCC material instead of normal concrete in reinforced concrete beams. After calibrating the experimental results, the analytical results inc...
متن کاملGeneralized Warping In Flexural-Torsional Buckling Analysis of Composite Beams
The finite element method is employed for the flexural-torsional linear buckling analysis of beams of arbitrarily shaped composite cross-section taking into account generalized warping (shear lag effects due to both flexure and torsion). The contacting materials, that constitute the composite cross section, may include a finite number of holes. A compressive axial load is applied to the beam. The...
